📰 A GRAPEVINE GUIDE
Saturday no longer has the market to itself.
Niagara does not have a farmers’ market problem. It has a farmers’ market sorting problem.
Some markets open before most of us have located the good reusable bags. Others begin around dinner, add a band and keep going until sunset. A few are reliable places to buy a week’s worth of produce. Others are better suited to a food-truck dinner with some local shopping around the edges.
They can all make for a good stop - you just want to know whether to bring a grocery list, an appetite or both.

🍅 MARKET TYPES, SORTED
Groceries, dinner or a little of both?
To help separate grocery runs from nights out, we use four labels:
Farmers’ market: A dependable place to shop from multiple produce, farm-food or local-food vendors.
Mixed community market: Local food or produce may be available, but the wider vendor mix includes artisans, community groups and other businesses.
Supper market: Prepared food, drinks, music and an evening gathering - not a routine grocery run.
Farm-gate stop: A market, stand or self-serve shed run by one farm or local producer, sometimes carrying additional goods from nearby businesses.
How we chose: We verified recurring markets through current organizer sources, separated supper and community events from produce-first markets, and added a small number of farm-gate stops that offer a distinct reason to visit.
Market schedules, vendor lineups and farm-gate availability can change. Check the organizer or farm’s latest update before making a special trip.

🧺 THE NIAGARA MARKET WEEK
Find the right market for the day you’ve got.
From Monday parking-lot produce to Sunday market strolls, here’s what’s open across Niagara - and what kind of stop each one really is.
Monday
Seaway Mall Farmers’ Market
Type: Mixed farmers’ and community market
When: Mondays, noon-5 p.m., June to October
Where: Front parking lot, Seaway Mall, 800 Niagara Street, Welland
Go for: A practical Monday stop for farm-fresh produce, baked goods, handmade treats and local vendors.
Good to know: This is the rare start-of-week market in Niagara, which makes it especially useful if your weekend grocery ambitions were defeated by, say, the weekend.
For more Monday produce, bakery and orchard shopping, head to Worth the Farm-Gate Detour below. Hildreth Farm Market, The Red Barn, Walker’s Country Market and Quiet Acres all publish Monday hours during their operating seasons.
Tuesday
Wainfleet Community Market
Type: Mixed community and farm market
When: Tuesdays, 3-7 p.m., June through September
Where: The pavilion behind the Wainfleet Arena, 32081 Side Road 20, Wainfleet
Go for: A small rural market with local food, produce and community vendors under one pavilion roof.
Good to know: The current market operates on Tuesdays despite older Township information that still points to Wednesdays. The weekly mix may change, so check the market page before making a special trip.
Port Dalhousie Supper Market
Type: Supper market
When: Selected Tuesdays: July 7, July 14, July 28, August 4, August 11, August 18 and August 25. Food begins at 5 p.m., music at 5:30 p.m. and the market closes at sunset. July 21 is held as a rain date.
Where: Lakeside Park, Port Dalhousie, St. Catharines
Go for: Dinner near the beach with food trucks, local drinks and a rotating musical lineup.
Good to know: This is a prepared-food and social event rather than a dependable produce stop. July 21 is reserved as a rain-hold date, not a regular market night. Bring a lawn chair or blanket if you plan to settle in.
Wednesday
Wednesday has apparently decided that dinner should come with a band.
Stevensville Farmers’ Market
Type: Mixed farmers’ and prepared-food market
When: Wednesdays, 2-6 p.m., during the market season
Where: Stevensville Memorial Hall / Community Centre area, Stevensville
Go for: A community-minded midweek market where farm products share space with prepared food, baking and local vendors.
Good to know: The market mix changes week to week. Check the market’s Facebook group before making a dedicated trip, especially if you are going for a specific vendor.
Prudhomme’s Supper Market
Type: Supper market
When: Wednesdays, 5-9 p.m., June 10-August 26
Where: 3329 North Service Road, Lincoln
Go for: Prepared food, live music and artisan shopping near the lake.
Good to know: This is a supper market, not a traditional produce market. Bring your appetite; the grocery bags can stay home for this one.
Niagara-on-the-Lake Supper Market
Type: Supper market
When: Wednesdays, 6-9 p.m., June 17-August 26, except July 1
Where: Bella Terra Vineyards, 925 Line 2 Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Go for: A vineyard evening with rotating food vendors, live music, wine, local beer and soft drinks.
Good to know: Food vendors and music lineups rotate through the season, so check the current week’s details before heading out.
Thorold Community Market
Type: Mixed community market
When: Wednesdays, 5-9 p.m., June 17-August 26, except July 1.
Grand finale Saturday, September 5, noon-4 p.m.
Where: Battle of Beaverdams Park, Thorold
Go for: An evening market with prepared food, artisans, live music, a licensed patio and the Thorold BIA Classic Car Show.
Good to know: Fresh local produce is part of the advertised mix, but this is a wider community evening rather than a produce-only shop. Admission and downtown parking are free.
Welland Supper Market
Type: Supper market
When: Wednesdays, 5-9 p.m., July 8-September 2. Music runs from 6:30-8 p.m.
Where: Welland Market Square, 70 Young Street, Welland
Go for: Nine summer evenings of rotating food trucks and live music.
Good to know: Food vendors are announced weekly. Seating is limited, and the City advises bringing a chair.
Roots & Rhythm
Type: Agricultural community event
When: July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5, August 12 and August 19, beginning at 5 p.m.
Where: West Lincoln Community Centre, 177 West Street, Smithville
Go for: Live music, line dancing, food and family programming connected to West Lincoln’s agricultural community.
Good to know: This is an educational and entertainment event, not a dependable farm-retail market. Admission is free, with food or monetary donations encouraged for West Lincoln Community Care. Programming moves indoors during extreme weather.
Thursday
St. Catharines Farmers Market
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Thursdays, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., February through December

Good to know: The market also operates year-round on Saturdays. See the Saturday section for its full details.
Grimsby Farmers’ Market
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Thursdays, 3-7 p.m., June 4-October 8
Where: Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre, Grimsby, for the rest of the 2026 season
Go for: A dedicated Thursday market with produce, baked goods, pantry items, prepared food and locally made products.
Good to know: The market began the season on Main Street, then moved to the Peach King Centre from June 25 onward because of downtown construction.
Pelham Farmers’ Market
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Thursdays, 4 p.m.-dusk, May 7-October 1
Where: Municipal parking lot, 20 Pelham Town Square, Fonthill
Go for: Produce, farm products, flowers, baked goods and a broad mix of local vendors.
Good to know: Pelham’s Thursday setup can pair neatly with Summer Chill in Peace Park, but the farmers’ market is the grocery-minded part of the evening.
Summer Chill Supper Market
Type: Supper market
When: Thursdays, 4-9 p.m., June 11-September 10
Where: Peace Park, 20 Pelham Town Square, Fonthill
Go for: Prepared food and evening music after your farmers’ market stop or alongside it.
Good to know: Summer Chill and the Pelham Farmers’ Market overlap but do different jobs. The farmers’ market is where you shop; Summer Chill is where you linger.
Crystal Beach Waterfront Supper Market
Type: Supper market
When: Thursdays, 5-9 p.m., June 25-September 3. Live music begins at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Waterfront Park, 3855 Terrace Lane, Crystal Beach
Go for: Food trucks, local wine and craft beer, live music and a summer evening near the water.
Good to know: This is a prepared-food and social event rather than a produce stop. It is separate from the Sunday Beach Market at The Grove.
Friday
Port Colborne Farmers’ Market
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Fridays, 7 a.m.-noon, May 1-October 30
Where: Market Square, 59 Charlotte Street, Port Colborne
Go for: A substantial Friday market with produce, meat, cheese, baked goods, prepared food, flowers and plants.
Good to know: This is one of Niagara’s more traditional morning market stops: early, practical and built for actual shopping.
Community Concert Series Food Nights
Type: Prepared-food evening event
When: July 17, July 24, August 14, August 28 and September 11. Food and games begin at 6 p.m.; concerts begin at 7 p.m.
Where: H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park Bandshell, 160 Sugarloaf Street, Port Colborne
Go for: Dinner and outdoor music beside the lake.
Good to know: These are selected prepared-food concert nights, not advertised farmers’ markets. They are included here because they work like a casual supper-market stop on specific Friday evenings.
Saturday
Saturday is Niagara’s market heavyweight. Bring the sturdy bags.
Niagara Falls Farmers’ Market
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Saturdays, 7 a.m.-1 p.m., May 23-October 10
Where: MacBain Community Centre, 7150 Montrose Road, Niagara Falls
Go for: Local fruit and vegetables, flowers, plants, baked goods, prepared food, artisan products and local crafts.
Good to know: The full 2026 season is at MacBain Community Centre. Earlier material described opening weeks at Niagara Square, but the current City market page places the season at MacBain. The market operates rain or shine.
Market at The Village
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Saturdays, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., May 30-October 3
Where: Clayfield Commons Market Square, 25 Clayfield Commons, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Go for: A compact Saturday market focused on getting local food into local hands.
Good to know: Expect a rotating mix of farm products, bakers, prepared food, flowers and locally made goods. It is the Niagara-on-the-Lake Saturday stop when you want market energy without turning the whole morning into a production.
Ridgeway Farmers’ Market
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Saturdays, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., from the May long weekend through Thanksgiving weekend
Where: Village Square / Friendship Trail lot, 282 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway, Fort Erie
Go for: A traditional open-air market in Ridgeway’s walkable village core.
Good to know: The schedule is refreshingly simple: Saturdays only, morning to early afternoon. Pair it with a wander through the village if your tote bag still has room.
St. Catharines Farmers Market
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Saturdays year-round, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Also open Thursdays from February through December.
Where: Market Square, 91 King Street, St. Catharines
Go for: A year-round indoor market with growers, meat and fish vendors, bakers, prepared food and specialty producers.
Good to know: The market dates to 1848. Warm-weather Saturdays also bring seasonal food education, crafts, music and community programming on selected dates. Pets are not permitted inside.
Welland Farmers’ Market
Type: Farmers’ market
When: Saturdays year-round, 7 a.m.-noon
Where: Market Square, 70 Young Street, Welland
Go for: A year-round indoor market with produce, meat, cheese, eggs, baked goods, prepared meals and seasonal outdoor vendors.
Good to know: Since 1907, locals and visitors have come to the Welland Farmers’ Market for Saturday shopping. The Market Café serves breakfast every Saturday with indoor seating. Pets are not permitted inside the market buildings, although dogs may be present in the outdoor eating area where food is not prepared.
Sunday

Where: The Grove, 4055 Erie Road, Crystal Beach
Go for: A relaxed Sunday market combining local farmers, vendors, artisans and family-friendly market energy.
Good to know: This is the Crystal Beach Sunday market at The Grove. It is separate from the Thursday Waterfront Supper Market and the older Derby Road business that can still appear in search results.

🌱 BEYOND THE WEEKLY MARKETS
Worth the Farm-Gate Detour
Single-farm markets, pick-your-own orchards and self-serve sheds worth a separate stop.
This is a selected list, not a directory of every roadside table in Niagara.
Lincoln
Hildreth Farm Market
Type: Farm-gate market
When: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; weekends and holidays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: 5529 Greenlane Road, Beamsville
Go for: A broad seasonal produce shop and pick-your-own cherries when the farm says picking is open.
Good to know: Pick-your-own cherries operate at 4685 Durham Road. Hildreth is not offering pick-your-own strawberries in 2026. Picking can pause for weather or ripening, so check the current farm update before travelling.
The Red Barn Farm Market
Type: Farm-gate market and bakery
When: Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturdays and holidays, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; closed Sundays
Where: 4297 Jordan Road, Jordan Station
Go for: Farm-grown strawberries, seasonal produce from the farm and neighbouring Niagara growers, and a scratch bakery making pies, tarts and preserves.
Good to know: The exact produce mix changes with the season, so check the latest update before travelling for one specific item.
Bizjak Farms
Type: Seasonal farm stand
When: Seasonal hours vary; check the farm’s latest update before making a dedicated trip.
Where: First Avenue and Victoria Avenue, Vineland
Go for: Tree-ripened Niagara fruit from a family farm stand.
Good to know: Bizjak also sells at markets outside Niagara, so use the farm-stand details if you are heading to Vineland. The farm publishes the stand location as the corner of First Avenue and Victoria Avenue rather than a precise civic number.
Cherry Avenue Farms
Type: Pick-your-own farm
When: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Where: 4303 Cherry Avenue, Vineland
Go for: Pick-your-own fruit as each crop ripens, beginning with cherries.
Good to know: Admission is $12 per person aged four and older and includes a 1.5-litre basket. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. The farm accepts cash, debit and e-transfer. Crop status and hours can change quickly with weather and picking conditions.
Niagara-on-the-Lake
Walker’s Country Market
Type: Farm market, bakery and prepared-food stop
When: Daily, 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
Where: 15796 Niagara River Parkway, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Go for: Produce, baked goods and picnic supplies in one stop.
Good to know: Walker’s grows Niagara fruit and also carries other seasonal produce and market goods. The bakery and prepared-food side makes this a useful stop before a drive, picnic or “we should probably feed everyone before the next winery” moment.
Quiet Acres
Type: Farm-gate produce market
When: Daily, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., from early June into October
Where: 672 Lakeshore Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Go for: Farm-grown seasonal fruit, vegetables and flowers from a Niagara-on-the-Lake family farm.
Good to know: Quiet Acres publishes a crop calendar, but actual supply still depends on weather and harvest timing. Use the calendar as a guide, not a guarantee.
Wainfleet
Wainfleet Bread Box
Type: Self-serve bakery shed
When: Changing opening days announced through social media
Where: 42757 Highway 3, Wainfleet
Go for: Sourdough loaves, buns, muffins, scones, cookies and other changing bakes from an honour-system roadside shed.
Good to know: There is no fixed weekly schedule. Check the day’s opening post before making the drive, because “fresh from the shed” is charming right up until the shed is empty.
Turaida Forest Garden
Type: Self-serve farm stand
When: Seasonal summer hours are daily, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., late June through early September
Where: 31826 Highway 3, Wainfleet
Go for: A small honour-system stand with forest-garden berries, nuts, flowers and preserves as the season allows.
Good to know: This is not a full-service farm market. It is a roadside stand, and availability is highly seasonal. Check the current farm update before travelling for a specific crop.
West Lincoln
Lincoln Line Orchards
Type: Year-round orchard market
When: Tuesday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; closed Sunday and Monday
Where: 9764 Regional Road 20, Smithville

Good to know: The market also carries products from other local farms and businesses, including seasonal produce, preserves, honey, maple syrup and baked goods.
Buds & Blooms Flower Farm
Type: Seasonal roadside flower stand
When: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; closed Sunday
Where: 74029 Regional Road 27, Wellandport
Go for: Fresh seasonal bouquets and floral arrangements grown at the farm.
Good to know: This one will not fill the fridge, but it may improve the table. Sometimes the correct market item is dinner’s centrepiece, not dinner.
Before you go
Market schedules may change because of weather, construction, holidays or organizer decisions. Farm-gate hours and crop availability can change even faster.
For farm-gate and pick-your-own stops, check the farm’s latest update on the day you plan to visit. We can help you find the right place; the farm gets the final word on what is ready that morning.
